And these two parts really stood out for me:
“That was Captain Jack, you know,” she said, nuzzling her face into the top of his head. “You two have been fighting over me my whole life, and you didn’t even know it when you met me.”
I can totally see that happen; even without realizing it, Jack and the Doctor are in a constant battle for her affections. It just suits their personalities perfectly! Of course, Jack can never come close to the Doctor in terms of affection, but he's still makes a good overprotective older brother.
“More than ‘I love you’ ever could,” he said.

I would have reviewed earlier, but I read it on the way to class and it's a dickens trying to type on my phone x) I hope their next planet is easier.... though I doubt it.
